EARLY COPPINI 800 SILVER ORNATE CROSS PENDANT NECKLACE
...Old World craftsmanship...
Early 2oth c. cross pendant necklace made in Florence by the Coppini Brothers, an Italian family of jewelers active since the mid-1700s.
Cast in 800 silver, which was the standard used in Italy until at least the 1930s, the necklace is long and its chain consists of foliate and figural links. The large cross pendant hanging off it has elaborate scroll and floral designs and is very impressive to the eye...
Please note that there is no clasp in this necklace - you will have to slide it over your head to put it on, which is not a problem since the chain is rather long.
SIZE/WEIGHT: 32 1/8" long (for the chain) by 1/2" wide (the width of the figural links); pendant is 2 1/4" long by 2" wide; 51.6 grams HALLMARKS/DATE: "Flli COPPINI", "MADE IN ITALY" and "800"; 1900-1930 (and probably before 1934, when the hallmarking system changed in Italy)
CONDITION: excellent vintage

About Shipping:
Kindly note that Free Shipping offers are valid for domestic sales only!
USA Buyers: Due to the recent changes in shipping and insurance options by Ebay, I have revised my shipping policy as follows: I will offer FREE First Class shipping on most of my items alongside Priority Mail as well an Express service for those of you who need to get something really fast - the fees for these last two options being the responsibility of the buyer. I ship items usually on the first or second business day following Paypal payment notification. I always notify of shipping dates so please look out for those emails. Once you have received your package and left me feedback, I will do the same for you.
International buyers: I provide two shipping options; USPS Priority Flat Rate Envelope is the cheapest of the two ($13.95), very reliable and quick but does not allow for insurance. For buyers who want to insure their packages, USPS International Priority at about $25-28 will give you the opportunity to insure your jewelry at an additional yet affordable cost. If this is the option a buyer would like to take, he/she should contact me so that I can send them a revised invoice. SALES TAX: Last but unfortunately not least, NY State residents will have to pay sales tax in addition to shipping and insurance fees. If you are a dealer and tax exempt, you will still need to pay the tax initially until I receive a properly filled out New York Resale Certificate. I will include a copy of the documnent in a SAS envelope when I ship your jewelry to you so you can fill it out and drop it in the mail for me without any extra trouble on your part. Once I have received it, I will refund the tax amount back to you via PAYPAL.
Thanks in advance for your co-operation and understanding!
Payment to be made via Paypal within three days following end of auction. Successful bidder to pay for shipping and, whenever applicable, handling fees. International buyers please note that your country might charge you with import duty/taxes for your purchase. _gsrx_vers_420 (GS 6.0.8 (420))
