Rare, early example of the delightful Cortendorf Rabbit jam pot - see info below copied and pasted from PM&M webpage: In 1890 Julius Griesbach founded this factory in Cortendorf (today part of the city of Coburg) . The factory was able to utilize many different materials and next to a few porcelain items it actually mainly produced various household stoneware items including a large variety of mostly animal-shaped cofee and tea pots etc, most of which were sold unmarked to the U.S. company of Ebeling & Reuss from Philadelphia. All own production ended after the factory was taken over by the famous 'W. Goebel' company from Rödental in 1973. Has age related crazing otherwise in excellent condition with no damage or restoration and has the e arly Cortendorf mark surrounded by a single-line frame with the addition 'FOREIGN' . This style of backstamp was used prior to 1952. Height 5 1/4 ", length 3 1/2" .Will be very well packed and promptly dispatched - check my feedback!
