Up for auction is an early first production Charles Eames Rosewood Lounge Chair Ottoman model 671. This ottoman comes to you from the original owner and is constructed of a rosewood shell with black leather all original Down Filled cushion. The ottoman is in excellent all original condition with no cracks or structural damage to the rosewood shell only one tiny chip in the veneer around the edge. The cast aluminum and black base is in beautiful condition with no damage and is complete with all 4 early boot glides. Only the first production ottomans featured boot glides with solid feet. The black leather cushion is in excellent condition for its age and is complete with both original tufted buttons which are still tight. The leather does show signs of crackling from use but no major rips. One of the corners has a seam which has come undone and can easily be sowed up at any upholstery shop or can be used as is with no problem. The ottoman measures 26" wide x 21" deep x 17" tall.
