This listing is for an Antique Blue Transferware and painted Plate tentatively attributed to Bow factory of England during the 18c. I am sure it is a very old piece of transferware, but as to whom the maker is we are not fully sure. The plate measures about 8-1/8" in diameter and does have two chips one to the back side of the rim and one to the foot. The plate has a blue oriental transferware pattern on the front and a hand painted cobalt back side. The plate has suffered warring to the body, usually as a result of faulty mix or imperfections in the clay body. My suspicion is this piece is an experimental piece from 1825-75 or there about. If anyone has any info on this piece I would love to hear from you. I am always open to help.Posted with eBay Mobile
