DESCRIPTION: A stunning early English Flow Blue pedestalcovered serving bowl in the “Peking” pattern (Circa 1845) made by and with the Ridgway, England old mark and “Peking” pattern name on the bottom. The lid has a “Rosebud” finial and the two handles are very ornate. This 6-paneled serving piece has an awesome oriental pattern, both on the outside and even inside the bowl! It features two people standing on a bridge, one holding an umbrella, and a large building in the center by a bridge, with flowering trees on either side. There is a second building in the right background. The cobalt blue is bright and the glaze finish is beautiful. It measures nearly 8” tall from base to top of the Rosebud lid finial, 11 ½” across from handle to handle, and 7” across at the base. An impressive and rarely seen early English Flow Blue serving piece! CONDITION: There are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs, just some normal crazing and a small ¼” faint kiln making crease on the inside rim below where the lid sits. The Rosebud lid finial does have a tiny flake on one point and there are a few glaze flakes on the edge of the base. Otherwise, the glaze finish remains shiny and in super condition! SHIPPING/INSURANCE: Insurance has already been included in the shipping costs, and there are no added packaging/handling charges.
