Presented for auction is a gorgeous early Staffordshire flow mulberry transfer sugar bowl. The pattern is Bochara by James Edwards and it dates to circa 1850 (see Flow Blue China and Mulberry Ware, Petra Williams, p.145). I have other pieces in this pattern which are marked, some of which are up for auction now. This piece is made of ironstone and features a fancy paneled shape and one of the prettiest molded flower finials I have ever seen! It stands 7 1/2 inches tall with the lid in place and measures about 6 inches from handle to handle. We professionally repaired one the handles which had been broken and badly reglued. Now it displays to perfection. Our repair work is invisible. T is also minor crazing. This would be a treasured addition to any collection.
