A really nice and heavy early George III bureaux in mahogany with oak drawer linings and what I'm sure are the original handles....fitted interior is particularly nice with no damaged or missing parts and a few secret compartments..but baize or velvet writing surface needs re-doing as you can see in the photo...generally in good condition but has a mark down the front at the bottom as you can also see, a few other odd small faults and the sides could do with re-finishing but the rest has a good patina. I bought this directly from a farm house in Derbyshire where it had been for several generations. Only selling due to me aquiring a much older one. 44" wide at the widest point (the feet), 40.5" tall and 21" deep...collection only please but will try my best to work around your courier if you arrange one. Prefer payment by cash, Thanks.
