Early Gesso Arched Wood Picture Frame Dog Print Carson Description This is an awesome antique cathedral picture frame measuring 13.5" by 21.5" to the top of the arch. Features an art deco look with gesso flowers on sides, top and bottom. I can find no damage! Slight hint of color on flowers. Kind of a marble look to the wood finish.Back of frame has some interesting info stamped on the sides and top. It reads Price of Frame $7.90 including glass and back only. ONE PRICE-Cannot be altered or changed. Workmanship and Material Guaranteed. Chicago Portrait Company, Chicago Illinois. Never seen this information stamped on the back of an old frame! Top has a 36 and the price. An added bonus with this frame is a signed dog sepia print by W. A. Carson! Slightly bowed, probably from having the curved glass over it. Back of print is stamped Cathedral Design, Design Patented June 24, 1924, Made and Sold by Chicago Portrait Company. No glass included. Holds an 11" by 19" picture or photo. Ring at top for hanging.
