** PLEASE SEE SPECIAL NOTE BELOW ABOUT SHIPPING COSTS FOR THIS ITEM ** This rare find is an antique gone with the wind style lamp that has been converted and electrified. The overall condition is excellent and we have tested that it is in working order on the top. It does appear to also be lighted in the bottom globe as well, but we did not take that piece off to test. The finish is a pale green / blue with handpainted roses and daisies in hues of burgundy, pink, yellow, and green. These finish details all still look quite good. T are some muted spots and t w the finish may have faded a bit, but it is nothing distracting to the elegance of the lamp. The brass on the base and center is also in excellent condition. T are a couple of very shallow chips on the bottom edge of the top globe (w it fits onto the brass) but it is very minor. We don't see any other chips or cracks on the globes. However, a large section at the bottom of the clear chimney has been broken and was "repaired" previously by scotch tape. A replacement chimney should be pretty easy to find though. Fitted together this lamp measures 25 1/2" high to the top of the chimney and 22 1/4" high to the top edge of the top globe. The globes are 7 1/2" across at the bottom and 9" across at the top. The brass center piece measures 7" across, and the brass base 6 3/4" across. ** SHIPPING ** We take great pride in our careful packaging, so you can also be assured that we'll take great care in preparing this lamp for shipment. Each piece will be separately wrapped and secured inside double boxing. Because of the extra packaging we're estimating the packaged weight to be a little high. After the conclusion of the auction we'll provide the winning bidder with an invoice with the actual boxed charges which could be a little less than the calculated amount shown in this auction.
