Early GRENFELL Signed Hooked Mat, Flying Canada Goose

This auction is for an original signed Grenfell hooked mat ca. early 1900's. It is approximately 8" high by 8 1/4" wide. The subject matter is a Canadian Goose in flight across a marsh, perhaps at sunset, because the backgound sky color is orangie-rose. The "hooking" is very fine, with about 150 loops per square inch. Most of the colors have held true over the years. The water has faded from a light bluish green to a pale green. T are a few small smudges (photo #1) on the mat, mostly to the left of the goose and one below it. These are fairly minor and I suppose if someone knew what they were doing, they could be removed. The original Grenfell tag reads "Grenfell Labrador Industries, Hand-Made in Newfoundland and Labrador". Please email me if you have any questions.
