Up for your bid is a Very Old Primitive Gooseneck COPPER AND BRASS TEA KETTLE out of South Carolina. It measures 13" tall to the top of the handle, and 13" long to the tip of the spout. This tea kettle is in very used condition. I think this is from the early 1800's and all hand done. As seen in the photos below, it has been crafted with a almost a folkart type of markings or engravings as decoration. It is complete with its original lid. The kettle has brass trim. T are some dings and hand made inconsistence of a hand kettle. The gooseneck spout was made in two pieces, and has the tip bent down some. The interior is also in fantastic condition, and still has its original tinning. The patina on this kettle is as it should be for something of this age. This kettle could be even older than I think. Inside t is an old not saying that the pot came from "The Davis Home in Marion SC in 1889". So it was sold at an estate or given to someone in 1889. Marion, I believe is near Charleston SC. That is a very old area. The bottom is sold. I gueass it could be used if someone wanted to do that. I could not find a makers mark. It shows a lot of use. See detailed photos. Buyer to pay $10.00 shipping IN THE 48 STATES ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
