GORGEOUS RARE EARLY (1868-1881) CHARLES FIELD HAVILAND HAND PAINTED ARTIST SIGNED PLATES IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ONE PLATE (8.25") FEATURES BEAUTIFUL YELLOW AND PURPLE FLOWERS AND THE OTHER (8.5") FEATURES PINK AND WHITE BLOSSOMS. BOTH PLATES HAVE ARTIST INITIALS (ONE IN IMAGES AND DATED 1881) AND ARE IN MINT CONDITION. CHARLES FIELD HAVILAND MARK 2 IN GREEN UNDERGLAZE. NO CHIPS,CRACKS, SCRATCHES OR HAIRLINES. ACCORDING TO MARY FRANK GASTON'S COLLECTOR'S ENCYCLOPEDIA OF LIMOGES (PAGE 151) THE PRODUCTION OF C.F. HAVILAND WAS MOSTLY TABLEWARE AND FEW ARTISTIC PIECES MADE IT TO THE U.S.
