I am a knife maker who builds knives that look and feel like they are 150++ years old. So that they can be used by campers who like the real thing, re-enactors who will be proud to show and tell, and for displays. I use carbon-steel with alloy A-569 and with a Rockwell hardness of 63. The knife - domensions are; 12" full length, 6 7/8" long blade. 1 1/2" blade width, and 1/8" thick. The 5 1/2" edge is VERY SHARP. The handle is full tang with birds eye maple and is 5 1/2" long. The scales are attached with 4 brass pins. The style is a very early skinning or scalping knife. Sheath is made of heavy leather and has a 3+" slit to put on a belt. The Camp axe has a cutting edge of 3" and very sharp. The length of the head 6" and the length of the hard wood haft is 18 1/4" long. The head is an original and very old and haft to head is SOLID and TIGHT. Sheath is of leather. The curly/birds eye maple used on both the knife handle and haft was sent to me by L. Day (swivel breech gun maker) of Mass. I don't have a lot of it left so when it is gone it is gone. If you have any questions or would like another style of blade design, feel free to email me. I will start low and let you decide the value. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND BIDDING. I feel that is this the best set thus far. :
