We were delighted to pick up a couple of early Dresden figurines at a recent estate sale and are pleased to present them for your consideration in individual auctions. This one is Irish Dresden featuring a lovely lady in lace with flowers and a pink bodice. She's sitting on a couch with a fan and her dog. T are all sorts of great details on this piece, from the individually crafted flowers affixed to her dress, to the hand painted sides of the couch and the attentive expression on her dog. It measures 5 1/2" high, 5 5/8" wide and 4 1/4" deep. It is marked by hand on the bottom "Irish Dresden" with a maker mark and the letters "MZ" "Made in Ireland" "1042". The delicate lace does have a couple of spots broken (one just under her fan hand and one in the back). Most of the tiny porcelain flowers are still in tact though one or two might have a slight chip. The dog's head has a little finish loss and the piece could use a little spot cleaning. No chips or cracks to the the rest of the piece. We really have to say that this early piece is in remarkable condition. Just exquisite. NO RESERVE! Email us if you have any questions or need to see any other photos. We have many items up for bid and in our PETTIE'S FINDS store so be sure to check out some of our other treasures as well.
