EARLY Japanese Family Sword

For auction, a great old Japanese sword. It was found in the same trunk in an attic in KC as the Japanese WW ll Helmet we have listed. A Japanese WW ll rifle and bayonet were also found in the same trunk, but can't be sold on ebay. We are not experts in Japanese items, but we feel this sword is much older. Possibly an old Family sword. The family said their relative brought all of these items home from the war. Again, Please be your own judge. It had been taken apart before we purchased it. It is put together loosely. It is in very good as found condition. It has a few old imperfections in the blade, these are from the making, not damage. We don't believe the scabbard is original to the sword. I have pictured the sword together and taken apart so viewing will be much easier. Please see pictures for condition and email with any questions before bidding. Please let me know if you need more pictures.
The sword measures approx: 27 inches long overall. The hand guard is approx: 3 inches tall by 2 5/8 inches wide. Actual shipping will be approx: 5 pounds from 66071. Insurance and delivery confirmation required. We are NOT responsible for loss or damage to items shipped without insurance. We are not responsible for transit time. International bidders please email for shipping price before bidding. Paypal only. In the event an insurance claim needs to be filed, the buyer will be responsible for filing with the shipper. We will supply all receipts. Thanks for looking !!!
