Loetz Vase #2 For your bidding pleasure is an early Loetz vase with irridescent pulled oil-spot decoration with a quatrefoil rim. Glass is a most unusual amethyst-black color which is a deep purple when light is shined through it. Brilliant multi-hued irridescence. Ground pontil on underside. Item is unsigned, as most are, but this is an unmistakable example of their craftsmanship. Note that this item has a smal (1-2 mm) shallow chip on rim (see photo); please bid accordingly. Item measures approx 11-3/8 inches (29 cm) high. Please note: I am listing the companion to this piece; the other one is in perfect condition. Bid on both: they would still make a nice pair.
