It is 2 Ostby Barton rings bonded together. This was done decades ago and they did a pretty good job. The bond is still tight and not really noticeable unless you are looking for it. This ring is in decent condition for it's age . There is wear to the the band edges and a spot on back from resizing. It has a patina and would benefit from a good polish. The Simulated Ruby stone is approx. 4.5cts and is a gorgeous deep blood red color. It is framed with a 10k white gold Egyptian inspired design with heiroglyphic symbols that were very popular in the 1920s due to the discovery of King Tut's tomb. The shank is an early OB piece, circa 1880s-1900. It is marked with an eagle and arrow hallmark and 1/30 14k gold shell which was a formula invented by Ostby & Barton. It is a very rare, one of a kind and highly collectible. Approx. a size 10.25. Ring weighs 5.1g. It is Rose Gold Filled / 14k Gold Shell shank with a solid 10k white gold top.
