Recently found these two vintage metal Christmas Ornaments at an estate sale. They were German made probably around WWI of soft tin-lead alloy. The basket measures 3 3/4" long, 2 1/4" wide, and 3 1/2" high to top of handle. T is some red paint on flowers in the metal on both sides and the end. The piece is very pliable and needs a little bid of help getting back to its original shape. A picture of this basket can be found on page 105 of Margaret & Kenn Whitmyer's book CHRISTMAS COLLECTIBLES. The 2nd piece is a baby carriage that measures 3 1/4" long, 2" tall, and 1 1/4" wide. T is an old cloth padding inside the carriage. The only condition issue is the the straight piece that held the umbrella up over the carriage is missing, while I do have the umbrella. The wheels turn and the carriage just needs some slight bending on the tin to get the shape straight. They would make a great addition to your vintage Christmas collection. Please email with any questions.
