Early (undated) Mark Three Brodie British Commonwealth type "RAW EDGE" steel "TOMMY" Helmet in entirely ORIGINAL and UN-MESSED-WITH conditionMaker Marked "L.C." with government-property "BROAD ARROW" marking SIZE = The liner is stamped UK SIZE "7 1/4" Retains it's original liner (crude wartime manufacture without even a rubber "cushion" in top center) ALL PAINTWORK is original to it's factory production. One minor area of paint-loss is seen beside one chinstrap anchor, OTHERWISE it's all there and NO nasty "touch-ups" have ever been applied...... inside or out !! :-) Original chinstrap retains it's "springyness" but exhibits expected use-wear These helemets became obsolete in 1944 when the "Turtle" helmet was introduced but many continued to be worn and issued HOWEVER these "Raw Edged" Brodies had been relegated to "The Colonies" well prior to either the lined-edge OR the Turtle ever becoming common-place Nice original un-messed-with WW2 era helmets are HARD TO FIND now so do not miss the chance to own this fine historical example CONDITION = EXACTLY "as-seen" clearly in the 7 images Absolutely GUARANTEED to be 100% GENUINE (just like ALL the items I sell ! :-) Do please VIEW my ***12 + years *** FEEDBACK selling history on E-Bay !!
