* ALCOTT ANTIQUES* EARLY SIGNED PANTRY BOX IN OLD BLUE PAINT. Measures 8"diam+, 4.75" high. Here is a nice early pantry box with great old blue paint. Please enlarge photos for complete description. Condition is solid and sturdy with some age cracks emanating from the lap. Lap was recently and professionally glued and is solid. A couple of chips and smaller cracks around the bottom, stable and secure. It appears a fine coat of shellac was applied at one time which was common in the 19th century. Note the signature in pencil script on the inside cover, likely a former and early owner: "P. S. Joslin?" Found in Maine. Offered at NO RESERVE.
