This pair of tongs are in very good condition.No damage,or repairs.T is light surface rust on the blades.Some of the original black paint remains.The overall length is 28 inches.This tool was used by the roofer to draw together the two layers of tin for cleating it.Sometimes they were used by a roof slater to hold hot copper flashing so it could be soldered.The handle is stamped "PSW Co."(Peck,Stow & Wilcox Co.My reference for this tool was the PEXTO Catalog of Tinsmith Tools and Machines,(circa 1900 )Nice hard to find roofing tool.. 12
