Early Pfaltzgraff USA "Village" 10 1/2" 2 3/4 Qt. Sugar Canister 507 With Original 502 Lid - Early Castle Mark - Very Good Condition Offered is an original early Pfaltzgraff USA Village 10 1/2" 2 3/4 Qt. Sugar Canister With Original 502 Lid & Early Castle Mark that is in very good condition. The Village pattern that was manufactured in the USA commenced being manufactured in 1976 and features a brown design on cream stoneware. This handsome Sugar Canister has the brown Village design and "Sugar" across the front as well as the brown verge around the top rim. As noted above, this Sugar Canister With Lid measures 10 1/2" tall (to the top of the knob on the lid) - 7 1/4" not including the lid; & the top rim measures 7 1/2" in diameter. The bottom of this Sugar Canister is marked with the early embossed Pfaltzgraff USA castle mark with CANISTER 2 3/4 QT above the mark & 507 below the mark (shown in the 3rd photograph) - the inside of the Original Lid is marked with an incised 502. As noted above, this Sugar Canister & Original Lid are in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing - the graphics and brown verge are in very good condition as well - the bottom unglazed rim has some wear (shown in 3rd photograph) & the Lid has a manufacturing underglaze spot (shown in 4th photograph).
