This is a Officer sword post Rev. War, has the look from about 1800 to 1815. But really I have never seen any thing like it. Style is similar to French Officer style. Blade is 30 inches long, over all sword is 36 inches. Width is about 5/8 of a inch at the widest part of the blade. Blade has some dark spots and pits but still shows over all bright. T are no maker marks on blade what so ever. Has round style pommel an ornate florel knuckle bow or hand guard. The clam shell part of the counterguard shows a harp a wreath and horns. I think the grip is cherry wood, but not sure. Scabbard is in ruff shape, has one good crease were it bends and one other that is not as bad. Looks to have been hand stich or restich. The scabbard is missing the throat but still has the brass drag. T is some old tape by the throat. Buyer pays $14.00 shipping. Shipping will be U.S. only. Thanks for looking.
