Early 20th century violin withcase & bow - Rushworth & Dreaper Liverpool I have for sale an old violin in the case with a nice bow. I am no expert in musical instruments so I am just basically describing things that I can see with my own two eyes and giving an honest opinion regarding condition etc. However please see the photos I have uploaded and feel free to ask me any questions you may have prior to bidding as my opinion may not be the same as yours. Label on inside of case states: Rushworth & Dreaper Musical Instrument Makers 11-17 Islington Liverpool Stamp on Violin states: J. RAI The violin still seems to be in very good condition to me anyhow with some scuffing around the edges in a few places and some light scrape marks from age / use, I have been told that a good clean and it being re-polished would really enhance this instruments appearance, however I am just selling it as you see it. The tail of the violin that the strings are attached to has been beautifully finished with inlaid mother pearl in the form of a rose or flower. Someone has also stuck three little strips of paper onto the neck, these could be easily be dampened and removed.
