Straight from an estate sale is this early railroad sign mile marker. It is 16 inches tall by 7.5 inches wide. It looks to be made of some type of alloy metal. It is also embossed, It says., NITE & DA LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY NO. 10. On the other side it say's, PAT NO 1007472. I have seen a few railroad markers in my time but this is the first with a glass marble type lense with it. The glass reflector is citron green and is on both sides of the sign and in good condition. Overall the sign is in good condition, it does have old paint flaking ect,[see pictures]. A nice early piece for your railroad, louisville kentucky collection.
