This is a wonderful old Rookwood Pottery ( Cincinnati , Ohio ) fox ashtray that belonged to a friend of mine who passed away at the age of 96 a few years ago. It is finished in a dark gray and yellow tone beige mat glaze . The bottom has the Rookwood impressed logo and the roman numerals âeoeXXV11âe that indicates that it was made in 1927 . It is also marked by the finisher with a dot at the right of the logo. This identifies the finisher, who cleaned and smoothed the piece, was named Albersman. T is slight damage only to the very tips of the ears of the fox, which have been chipped off through years of usage. Otherwise, the piece is in great condition, as you will note by the pictures. Size: 7âe diameter x 2 ¼âe high.
