is an ORIGINAL, VINTAGE PY ROOSTER AND ROSES COOKIE JAR OR BISCUIT JAR. It is fully marked on the bottom with the green mark PY in the oval circle and has the remnants of a foil label as well. The colors on this great vintage piece are all original and are VIBRANT AND BRIGHT. The wonderful WICKER handle is in original, EXCELLENT CONDITION. This great Biscuit or Cookie Jar measures about 6 and 1/2" high to the top of the finial on the lid of the jar and 7 and 1/2" across from outside edge of button handle to handle. The diameter of the jar is about 6 and 1/4". It is in great condition for its age and intended use! These pieces of porcelain were very fragile and typically have nicks. I only find a tiny nick on the edge of the lid, two chips at the top rim of the jar, and a few tiny nicks at the bottom rim. "Rings" beautifully when tapped, so it has NO hairlines or repairs. This piece is CLEAN as a whistle and looks like it was rarely, if ever used. A beautiful vintage piece of PY with great eye appeal and a nice, unusual piece to add to your collection.
