Presented to you this day is a very delightful early Royal Doulton Figurine "Wee Willie Winkie" in mint condition. This figurine is of the all time famous "Wee Willie Winkie runs through the town. Upstairs and downstairs in his nightgown. Tapping at the window and crying through the lock. Are all the children in their beds, it's past eight o' clock". He is dressed in a blue nightgown while holding a lantern to light his nighttime path. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. He measures 5-1/2" high. In circulation from 1949 to 1959. Purchased from an estate sale where it was displayed for many, many years in the owner's glass enclosed show case. Owner's son told us that his Grandmother had been collecting Doulton's since the early 1920's.
