This rare original M1894 U.S. Krag Rifle Bayonet is an early bayonet dated 1894. It is in good condition. All metal is polished in the white. Few 1894 dated Krag bayonets are found for sale on eBay due to the small number made in that year. Krag bayonets are dated 1894 to 1903. The early years 1894-97 are much more rare that the later dated years. The metal of this bayonet has some minor pepper pitting and other small pits on the blade, cross guard and a few small dents on the rear of the pommel.The wood grips are in very good condition with the round head rivets indicating the grips have been replaced at a later period in the life of the bayonet.The left ricasso of the blade is stamped U.S and the right ricasso is stamped with the year of manufacture 1894.Please note all the pictures for condition.
