Early Sandwich Glass oil lamp in the wonderful and scarce Acanthus Leaf Pattern. Frosted font, brass collar, brass stem and marble base. Marble base measures 3 1/2" square. One of the lower corners has been chipped. No cracks or splits, great looking base. Brass stem shows no problems. Lamp including base measures 9" tall. Font area measures 4 1/2" tall and 4" in diameter. Glass is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, breaks or repairs of any kind. Glass is frosted and the pattern definition is perfect. Collar shows a bend / raised area on the inside, but your burner will still screw down properly. Collar may be a replacement, I do not know, it has the correct patina and the white adhesive looks correct as well. No burner or chimney included. Lamp made cira 1850-1870.
