Early Seth Thomas, Circa 1860 Cottage Clock, NO Reserve is one very early Seth Thomas Cottage Clock, with a signed label of Plymouth Hollow, Conn., which was actually before they changed the name of the city to Thomaston. It was changed in 1857, so this one does go back a ways. It stands 9 1/4 x 6 1/2 inches, and it has a 3 1/4 inch painted dial with roman numerals. It has an alarm, and the bell is a cast one. The movement is signed by Seth Thomas, as is the label inside the case. This is a good example of this period's cottage clocks.
