Early Sheaffer Gold Feathers Fountain Pen Desk Set

Early Sheaffer gold feathers pattern desk set pen base measures approximately 3 7/8" in diameter and is approximately 1" thick. Base features high relief gold metal feathers with a gold metal star in the center. The bottom of the base is covered in the original green felt. T is still a partial label on the side of the base that reads "Sheaffers". Fountain pen measures approximately 7.25" in length. Pen features a black barrel with a gold decorative band and Sheaffer nib. The pen is marked "W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co., Fort Madison, Iowa, U.S.A., Patented in U.S.A., 300" and nib is marked "Sheaffer's, 3, Made in U.S.A.". Pen is untested. Pen fits a little loosely into pen base, so we are not sure if this is the original Sheaffer pen sold with the desk set. Condition is VERY GOOD with average wear!
