Well I have 2 exceptional rare early signed Isle of Wight pieces for sale, just right for the growing band of Isle of wight/Michael Harris collectors.(see the seeward vase I have also listed now) Included here is a rare early piece of tortoiseshell range which I am dateing as a 1970's piece because it has a coachbolt pontil used before the introduction of the flame pontil mark. . - See Mark Hills's vey useful reference book on Michael Harris for details of the piece.T he round vase has a button rim and is approx. 12cms diameter and 10.5cms high . The vase is in great condition with no chips or cracks and the the expected amount of wear on the base.As expected for the era of production it has the coach bolt pontil and is signed on the base "Michael Harris Isle of wight" as well as a paper label "Handmade Isle of Wight" The signature is fully guarunteed as authentic. I have been collecting Mdina Isle of wight for 20 years and have a number of rare pieces that I have decide to move on as my interests have changed and give other enthusiasts the chance to add to their collections.
