Please scroll down the page to see all my photos of this item Description:- Factory Z or Spode shaped handle, the porcelain is slightly greyish in colour (hard paste? perhaps) - I have been trawling through my copy of "A Compendium of British Cups" - by Michael Berthoud and I can't make up my mind, maybe it is not British.I have also been online and routed around and found that Spode did quite a bit of lustreware around 1800, so maybe my first hunch was right - please help me if you can in the identification of this cup and saucer.The saucer is decorated on the inside and the cup on the outside.However, it appears to have been hand decorated and it is a handsome shape, it is most unusual.I have also looked on the website (link below): http://www./cups1a.htm#spode1 The Trocadero website below has a lustre cup and saucer on it which has a very similar handle: /stores/collab/items/690413/item690413.html And below is the porcelainbiz website where I have found the nearest to the look of my cup and saucer: /porcelain/spodesilverluster1.htm Please study the photos below and make up your own mind - ask me any questions before bidding please.
