Early Stanley No 7 Jointer Plane, VGC 1893 - 1899 This is an very good example of a Victorian Stanley No 7 jointer plane. Identifiable by the shorter front knob and the patent dates cast into the base. Amazingly it has all the features found on a modern one. Still in brilliant condition after over 110+ years. Surprisingly it has had very little use, the original machining marks are still visible on the cheeks and sole. 22" long, 2 3/8 wide blade, still with 95 % or the original lacquer. The full length replacement Stanley blade has been reground and honed. Both Rosewood handles are in good, undamaged condition. Too heavy for postal services so courier or collection only, rates should be shown automatically, ask if not shown. 3.6Kg We sell a lot of bench planes, block planes, rebate & router planes etc. All are stripped, cleaned and examined for cracks etc. The horrible original crackly varnish is almost always removed and the handles refinished. All are oiled and reassembled with professionally reground and honed blades. Bodies are repainted if needed whilst stripped down. We have a large stock of most types of components and blades, just ask. Payment to be received within 7 days, unless you request us to hold the item for you.
