Rare and early Stephen Green, Lambeth glazed stoneware anchovy or mustard pot.Impressed stamp to front reads Stephen Green's 'Glass Lined Inside', Lambeth. Would date pre-1850. This example is from my own collection and I am only selling due to lack of storage/display space. Condition: Apart from a small glaze loss area to the rim (photo 3) and a tiny chip to the glaze surface near the base edge the pot is in good condition. PLEASE NOTE: Subsequent to an enquiry I am adding the following details :- 'There are two slight indentations to the rim but these are inmanufacture, ie, have occurred PRE-firing as the glaze is clearly over them and therefore definitely not later damage as such. For point of accuracy there is a very small 3mm blow hole in the glaze to the reverse of the body but again this would have occurred in the kiln firing rather than subsequently.'
