This auction is for four 9 1/2" by 1 1/2" pie plates or tins from the New England baking company. this company started in Worcester Massachusetts in the early 1920's and sold pies house to house like the milk man. The customer paid a deposit on the pie tin which was credited when the tin was returned. This auction includes two very early tins with a 5 cent deposit, and one with a ten cent deposit. All of these have holes in the bottom to release moisture while baking. The fourth tin requires an unspecified deposit and is much later.
