Established in Sidney, Ohio in 1891 as the Wagner Manufacturing Company, a full quarter century after Griswold, Wagner quickly caught up to become Griswold's fiercest competitor. With the disappearance of Griswold in 1957, Wagner controlled 60% of the domestic market for quality made cast iron cookware. Meticulously cleaned, fully restored, and verified as authentic, this is vintage WAGNER as it was meant to look! When this rarely found #11 skillet left the Wagner foundry, it was NOT dusty or dirty, was NOT rusty, was NOT encrusted with grease and carbon, did not reek of rancid oil, and allowing for only occasional and careful use, now once again looks much as it did so many decades ago!!
