You are bidding on a Weller Fruitone vase, which is an
early and rare Weller pattern. This is one that does not come up for sale often. This vase is unsigned, but the pattern and glaze makes me almost certain that this is a Weller piece. I do not see any cracks on this vase, but bottom has some very minimal ware. T are some areas w glaze may have missed the bottom edge, and t are three small areas on the bottom that are white w the glaze either chipped off or w the stilts that supported the piece in the kiln may have removed the glaze. I am unclear as to the cause of these white areas and will leave you to make that determination based upon the photos. I must add that these areas are on the bottom of the piece and do not detract from the beauty of the piece. I can tell you that the piece has not suffered any traumas in the thirty years during which the estate has owned it. Due to the age of this Weller pattern, first quarter of the 1900's, I feel this piece is in fantastic shape. The vase measure approx. 9" tall and is 2 1/4" wide at the mouth and is approx. 4" wide at the center. The base is approx. 3" in diameter. The glaze is very unique and beautify done. The colors range from green to brown to light cream color. Very artfully done and a fine example of arts and crafts pottery from this great early art pottery company. If you have any questions or need additional photos please feel free to email me. I accept money orders and pay pal and I will leave it up to you how this item will ship.
