Early WW1 OfficersTrench Watch Silver Case 1914 Hallmark Rare Here we have a veryrare early WW1 trench watch with a solid silver case, it is hallmarked for London 1914 with the 925 sterling silver purity mark and a H.S. mark which could be the makers, importers or the retailers mark. These watches were retailed by Barkers of Kensington and also The Army & Navy Stores as ideal for the Officer on Active Service. Trench watches as they became known were not the norm at this time as nearly all men used a pocket watch so having one that was imported at the start of the War is quite rare.
