Early W.W.II U.S.M.C. Dress Blue Tunic with no Pockets which is correct for W.W.II; cut from dark blue wool; front secured by 7 gilt buttons with Eagle, Globe & Anchor insignia; standing collar secured by two hooks; French style cuffs; with 3 buttons; collar, shoulder loops and cuffs are edged in scarlet piping; Marksmen pinback badge is the old safety pin style; 3 piece ribbon bar with smooth face clutches; Private 1st class chevrons on both sleeves; 2 screwback original W.W.II golt collar E.G.A. without rope; ink stamp in the left armpit reads "Quartermasters Dept. U.S. Marine Corps 1941-42 2-L"; small hole in the back; includes a white dress belt with vertical weave and snap with a .45 pouch; nice E.G.A. applied to the brass buckle; early makers marked original tunics in this condition have been drying up
