A classic piece from the late 1800's - a yellowware washboard with blue sponging manufactured by the Columbus Washboard Company of Columbus, Ohio. The stoneware body of the washboard measures 12" tall by 11" wide. There are some small chips on the lower edge and one on the upper left corner but they are not really too noticeable. The center of the washboard shows wear with the ridges being somewhat worn down. Nevertheless the blue sponging on the yellow background tends to hide the wear and the chips as is evident by the pictures. Great piece of Americana in extremely nice condition. A classic piece of yellowware.
