This is a very attractive art pottery vase or urn made in the late 1800s or early 1900s by Peters & Reed or it is an early piece of Weller as the same artists worked for the two companies.It is in a highly glazed brown color with a cluster of grapes on a raised surface in deep blue/purple with light green foliage.The handle has decorative scrolling. It is in perfect condition except for a pinhead size chip on outer rim which a picture will show.It is difficult to see this.Look for it in the 5 oclock area of the 4 & 5 pictures.This Vase is in the Rookwood style and is a very beautiful. It measures 10&1/4" tall.Not marked as is usual with these pieces made by Peters and Reed.
