East India Company Seal on Chinese Export Armorial Porcelain Bowl, 7 3/4 diameter, 18th Century

The East India Company was a powerful trading company. This porcelain was produced by the East India Company and a similar bowl sold on eBay recently for $900; they identified the plate as Qing Dynasty. I am guessing it was produced for export to Europe in China for the East India Company. This particular piece is a 7 3/4 inc bowl with a 1 1/2 inch rise it is edged with a melon colored decoration and another inside the bowl line. The East India Company seal you can see is gilded with two lions with another up above it, very detailed. You can see the crest and read what it says in the photograph. A helpful reader of this auction provided this information about this piece, " This is not a family's coat of arms but the seal of the East India Company. It was one of the later designs. The underside of the bowl has a nice decoration around the outside, flower like. These are minor glazing flaws normal for a piece like this, very tiny.
The bowl came to me in the 1980's and I have enjoyed the beauty and elegance. Recently a 9 3/4 inch plate with the same armorial crest was sold at Sotheby's a few months ago from the private collection of Elinor Gordon, for $1,250 with an additional buyers premium.
