This Eatlake piece lists in the Miller Furniture book for $750.00. I am selling this for $300.00 because I bought it at an estate sale w I knew the dealer and the resident. This resident just recently passed away and he was 94 years old and he had told me many times, this chair belonged to his mother. I am unsure of the exact age of the upholstery but I would change it simply because it is old and likely is the original upholstery. This chair is referred to as a Princess platform chair and the reason for that is that it was designed for mothers to rock their babies. As a platform rocker, it just looks like a side chair for a parlor, however, it has the action springs which are quite old (but good) and date to around 1900. The original casters are on this chair and they are porcelain. The chair is in very condition, it is not wobbly, is steady and sturdy-it is not funky or smelly. It can be a Will ship SAIA with shrink wrapped item tied on a pallet which prevents other items from sliding/hitting the piece or you arrange your own shipment which is preferred. In all cases, pictures of the shipment will be kept by seller.
