We are former authorized retailers of Thomas Blackshear's Ebony Visions and are now selling some of our collection. All of the figurines we are selling have never been sold or resold...they were all bought as new from Willitts Designs in Petaluma California. Most have never even been on display and have remained packaged and only opened for inspection. I quarantee that our figurines have never been damaged or repaired unless noted. All our figurines come with original boxes and all certification that originally came in the box. Some of our boxes have been minimally damaged from sitting in storage...so I do not guarantee that the boxes are perfect. All our figurines are being sold "As Is" with a reasonable minimum price and without reserve...so this is a true auction. The photos you see are the actual figurine that you are bidding on.
This figurine, "Sister Forever: A Time to Share" #37082 is a Gallery Proof and is #32 out of 50. Each Gallery Proof is hand numbered and hand signed by Thomas Blackshear. I have included photos of the signature and GP marking. This figurine was never on display and enclosed in storage since the day it was acquired.
Since I listed this piece, I have had two questions regarding the levelness of the base. Since then, I removed the figurine and placed it on a glass shelf and have added two photos that clearly illustrate that the base is perfectly flat. I can also assure you that I attempted to rock the figurine in a flat postion and it is perfectly flat. the figurine is in perfect condition!!!
Willitts definition of Gallery Proof: Gallery Proofs are limited to 50 Sculptures, hand-numbered and signed by the artist. A Gallery Proof is a very limited, exclusive issue of a particular edition that has hand-painted color variations directed by Thomas Blackshear. Because of its unique color design this issue is not part of the original numbered edition.
