(JW) This copy of HAUNT OF FEAR #26 is dated August, 1954 and published by EC Publications. This book comes from the collection of long-time EC fan, collector and historian, Jerry Weist. Jerry passed away in January of 2011 and I am selling his EC COMICS, SCIENCE FICTION and COMIC FANZINE collection and MONSTER MAGAZINES on behalf of his estate. Be sure to keep an eye out every week for my other eBay auctions as we continue to sell COMIC BOOKS, EC COVER PROOFS, and VAULT KEEPER, DRUSILLA and other FANTASY original art every week from the collection of Johnny Craig.EC Comics published the best horror comics of them all and this is the 26th issue of THE HAUNT OF FEAR, which ran 28 issues between 1950 to 1954. This issue features a killer cover by GRAHAM INGELS and great stories inside by INGELS, REED CRANDALL, JACK KAMEN and JACK DAVIS. This book lies nice and flat with original staples holding interiors tight with shiney covers. The spine looks good except for a 1/8" tear at the top and a very small nick at the bottom. There is also several small edge tears on the back cover, located in the border area and some minute chipping at the bottom edge of back cover that looks similar to Marvel chipping.
