You are bidding on a stylish and attractive handmade Echo of Deco ceramic mantel clock in a classic Art Deco inspired Odeon design. Designed and made by Russell Akerman this clock is another success story from the British Echo Of Deco ceramic studios who have produced many highly creative and original Art Deco inspired designs. This clock has been hand glazed in Echo of Deco's own Paris white glaze with hand decorated Platinum mirror lustre geometric glaze detail, this Platinum lustre is very difficult to photograph, in the photo it looks almost black but is actually a reflective mirror finish. The clock hands are black coloured metal. On the small upper Platinum triangle there is a tiny line scratch probably made by a craft knife when the decoration was applied, this can only be seen when looking really closely, makers markings such as this are quite common on individually handmade studio ceramics. The inspiration for this stylish mantel clock comes from the distinctive Art Deco architecture used on the Odeon cinemas during the 1930's, England. These wonderful buildings with their geometric facades are instantly recognisable and can still be seen in many cities and towns all around the UK today.
