Absolutely Exquisite Bohemian era Egyptian revival Art Glass/shards/beach glass, pendant ceiling swag lamp. Early light is in all Original Good Condition, including original 1920's wire and plug...please see pictures. Completely Handmade, light is made of large thick irregular chunks of 19th century and early 20th century glass, pieced together within a thick handmade Leaded honeycomb. You can see the leading just oozing out and around each piece of glass. This glass is just stunning, you have Cambridge blue, deep dark ruby glass, amberina, murky orange and red opagues, yellow, amethyst, Green glass works, slags, rootbeers and the list goes on. This Lamp just pops when the light is on, which I believe you can see in the pictures provided. Outside of lamp has been gold leafed, but inside you can see original leading. Glass is early with the internal imperfections you find in 19th century glass. As you can imagine this light is very heavy as t is a Substantial amount of leading which you can see in the pictures provided. Large architectural lamp, measures 27 and 1/2" top to bottom, and 21+" around....and would look simply stunning in any decor. Very eclectic piece of early lighting would look spectacular suspended in a cathedral ceiling entryway. Light comes apart as pictured for you, and is suspended from a 10 foot length of chain but, can be remounted to suspend as a pendant. In 35 years of collecting I have never seen anything like this light in this Quality...or even remotely similar. I have not been able to locate a signature either, but I will guarantee the winner will be delighted with this 1 of a kind light. As with all antique lamps, I do suggest having this Original wiring checked for safety. This is a No reserve auction, so please do bid early and let me know You are Interested!
