Offered for sale is a vintage "biker" poster of "Henry" from circa 1965, one from a legendary "biker" series done by Big Daddy Roth in the mid-1960s, which featured fantastic bigger than life images of some of SoCals colorful outlaw riders of the day, and is deserved of being displayed in a Biker Hall of Fame if ever such a place was created - EXTREMELY RARE; very limited printing / distribution; only sold at hot rod shows (see bio info below). The poster measures and impressive 34" x 22.5", is in nicely preserved condition despite the fragile paper stock it's printed on (tack holes in corners; minor surface wear in spots; a few faint splatter marks of paint; some archival tape backside to reinforce weak corners / edge tears; however, still very suitable for framing/display)(a real show piece). As a custom car builder, Roth was a key figure in Southern California 's " Kustom Kulture "/Hot-rod movement of the 1960s. He grew up in Bell, California , attending Bell High School , w his classes included auto shop and art. Roth is best known for his grotesque caricatures — typified by Rat Fink — depicting imaginative, outsized monstrosities driving representations of the hot rods he and his contemporaries built. Although Detroit native Stanley Mouse (Miller) is credited with creating the so-called "Monster Hot Rod" art form, Roth is accepted as the individual who popularized it.
